Statement from Jean O'Neil, Director. "I lobbied to have a local ordinance repealed that infringed upon the rights of individuals to be involved with spiritual/religious practices that help support and heal. This ordinance included practices that were considered "Oriental Mysteries". At the time of the writing of the ordinance (1966) which also remained the current interpretation included: Reiki, Acupuncture, and Feng Shui (it is not how you decorate your home). These are mysteries because they are not evidenced based treatments, but are currently accpeted for pain relief and psychological health. This center supports all pathways to healing. This center does not judge an individual's choice to seek out healing and well-being as long as it does not do harm. I am hopeful that in the near future all forms (western models and complimentary) of healing and wellness can be coordinated together for the needs of all."
