Patricia Younce, MA, MSW
Patricia is originally from Ohio but has lived in Vermont since August 2007. She teaches art and education at Goddard College and has been practicing yoga for 23 years, teaching yoga for three. Her teaching style is expressive, fluid and she works in and out of traditional asanas slowly, carefully, helping the students to find their centers and the places to lengthen and open. Patricia integrates breathing (pranayama) and meditation within her classes. All levels of yoga student, particularly the beginner and the woman who has experienced pain or abuse to her body, should feel comfortable in her classes.
In addition, Patricia is an artist and occasionally teaches art workshops at ITI. She paints in gestural landscapes that look deeply at the integration of place and culture.
