Program description:
Autism Professional of the Year Award: This award is for professionals (educators, speech language therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrist medical doctors, or researchers) who have made a significant contribution in the autism field. This list is not exhaustive; nominations for all types of professionals are welcome. Conference registration and an award of $750 are given to the winner.
CVS/All Kids Can Scholars Program: The program provides a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a qualified individual with autism to be applied toward the completion of an accredited, postsecondary educational or vocational program of study (e.g., college, trade school, etc.). The scholarship is available to an individual with autism who has successfully met all the requirements for admission into an accredited post-secondary program of study.
Outstanding Individual With Autism of the Year Award: The award is given to an individual with autism who has excelled in one or more areas of life experiences or contributions. Conference registration and a cash award of $1,000 is given to the winner.
Parent/Parents of the Year Award: This award is given for demonstration of unusual dedication or effort on the part of a parent (or parents) of an individual with autism toward furthering the cause of autism, such as community awareness, advocacy, or another significant accomplishment. Conference registration and a cash award of $1,000 are given to the winner.
